Kroeger Herb Products – Attacking Allergy Issues
Sara Beth
January 5th, 2012 · Healthy Living
We really believe in the products we sell and want to spread the word near and far! As a small part of our blog we will have an Employee Spotlight section where we share the favorites of the folks that make the products possible! Today we attack the woes of allergy troubles and highlight the products that Dawn, faithful bookkeeper for 12 years, uses to address them. Dawn says:
I developed seasonal allergies when I moved to the mountains nearly 20 years ago. Up until that point I had never experienced allergies and the woes that come from having them and counted myself lucky. Allergies are difficult to deal with; the itchy, watery eyes, trouble breathing, congestion and pressure. For about 5 weeks during June and July, when the pine trees are really pumping out the pollen, I’m borderline miserable. I’ve found two products that help me tolerate the tree pollen I am allergic to and take them daily when I’m experiencing sinus issues. I try to be mindful of what I put in my body and know that these products are all natural and all herbal-if it’s not written on the label, it’s not in the capsule. [Read more →]

The use of essential oils is so common throughout our daily activities that some of us may not even think of extending their use to help us get a good night’s sleep. Many herbs are productive as essential oils and their results won’t take long for you to realize their benefits. Essential oils can be an effective solution for lifestyle challenges you might face and getting better sleep is at the top of the list for many of us.
How Can Herbs and Essential Oils Help Me Sleep Better?

Better sleep is possible with essential oils!
Calming herbs can range in use from a hot cup of Chamomile tea to a soothing Lavender bath for the kids. Beyond the common herbs we have all heard of, many others have properties that reach depths we rarely consider that can help calm the mind, body, and spirit. Sometimes the answer to a good night’s sleep involves calming all three and approaching better sleep with herbs and essential oils that can calm children as well as adults. Aromatherapy or diffusing oils are the most common applications for using herbs to achieve better sleep. Diffusing, topical application to certain areas of the body, basic inhalation, and even using oils internally are options of how to attain the benefits of essential oils. For topical application place 2-3 drops of oil in the palm of your hand and choose key areas like the temples, neck, soles of the feet, over vital organs, on top of the head, or the stomach area to apply. Essential oils made to be taken internally are called Flower Essences and we have a wonderful selection on our site that address a variety of issues. [Read more →]

With the holiday season just around the corner, many of us are planning parties and get-togethers that will include a wide spread of food and drink. This time of year is festive for the spirit (if you remember to keep it balanced) but terribly hard on our stomachs and GI systems. An extra piece of pie, a few more bites of cheese, a nibble here, an extra drink there—our bodies don’t always know what to do with such a sudden and drastic switch in diet or the introduction of added stress to our days. For some, the holidays are a busy time where “getting sick is not an option” or “I’m just tired because I’m working so hard”. What if the fatigue and the oncoming illness are being triggered from within your gastrointestinal tract? [Read more →]
The Warming, Healing, Natural Power of Tea
Sara Beth
October 13th, 2011 · home remedy
Sweaters, soups and stews, cozy fires and hot beverages are being ushered in with the change of the seasons. As we head into fall we are reaching for things that will warm us from the inside out and teas are at the top of the list for most.
Tea is a natural herbal remedy for many ailments. Tap into its healing powers
Sipping hot tea satisfies something very basic within us once the temperature drops outside and there are a variety of teas that can not only warm us but also heal with their medicinal benefits. Soothing a sore throat, easing a cough, addressing an upset stomach or calming a troubled mind are possible through the effective blends of teas. While humans have relied on plants as a source of food for thousands of years, we have moved away from finding the healing quality in them over time. Why has this changed? The ease of purchasing something from behind or over-the-counter has discouraged us from looking to dried fruits, flowers or herbs to address our ailments in a natural way and we hope we can open a door to begin to alter this thinking.
