How to Make Your Own Healing Oils and Tinctures

How to Make Your Own Healing Oils and Tinctures

Healing Oil Recipe:

Kroeger Herb Tinctures

Kroeger Herb's tinctures

Take 2 handfuls of fresh herbs or 1 handful of dried herbs.  Cover with olive oil.  Let stand in a warm place for 14 days, stirring once in a while.  After 14 days, simmer for 15 minutes and strain.  Squeeze the last drop of oil out of the mixture.  Again put 2 handfuls of fresh herbs or 1 handful of dried herbs in the leftover oil and, placing it in a warm place, repeat the procedure.  After 14 days, simmer again for 15 minutes.  Strain and squeeze out the last drop of oil.  There is not much left, however the oil is mighty potent and you only need a few drops. ( I use a double boiler.)

Tincture Recipe:

Take any herb, preferably fresh, and place in a jar that has a tight fitting lid.  Cover with 80 proof alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) and let it sit in a warm place for 10 to 14 days, stirring once in a while.  After 14 days, strain and fill into bottles.  Use only small amounts, for it is potent.
