Pet health can be improved through herbal supplements!

When I first heard of someone using herbs and other natural supplements for their pet’s health, I thought it sounded a little strange.  But I immediately realized that the only strange thing was my reaction.  Dogs and other animals have physical bodies just like us.  Why not give them the same benefits of healing herbs that we give ourselves?  As I learned more, I became aware that most animals because of their limited diets (compared to the average human), have much more sensitive digestive systems and therefore are much more sensitive to natural treatments. This means that natural treatments for your pets are even more effective than they are for humans using less of a dosage even after taking body size into account.

More and more veterinarians are starting to take advantage of this knowledge.  (Like Margate Animal Hospital, who use our products as part of their practice.)  Many herbal supplements are cheaper and safer than many of the pharmaceutical alternatives. Of course the most common treatments are for parasites such as worms and Lyme disease. Many more people are turning to natural sources for joint health and general nutrition for their pets as well. There is a company in Japan named Big Wood that manufactures pet food using some of our herbs and natural supplements to create a product that you would feel comfortable feeding to a human as well as your beloved furry family members.

More options are available all the time, especially if you keep an open mind. Just remember to start slow with our smallish friends because most animals will show results with less than you may think. There is so much to learn about the health of our pets and we have dedicated a section of our website to just that! My beloved Pug of 14 years was diagnosed with mast cell tumor cancer at the age of 12. I met with a lot of veterinarian oncologists to discuss the best options for him: everything from Chemo, to radiation, to surgical removal of his recurring tumors were recommended. At the end I felt like they were just trying to “sell” me a service without really considering how it would impact the rest of our time together.

I couldn’t imagine putting him through all of this so I explored other options. After meeting with many of the “Western” Dr’s I became convinced that I did not want to put him through a number of painful and difficult procedures that would affect his remaining quality of life, especially at his advanced age.

That is when consulted with a world renowned veterinarian who has been practicing both western and eastern medicine since the 1970’s, a doctor who provides compassionate quality holistic veterinary care designed to complement the services of your pets regular veterinarian.

Together we came up with a 90% holistic treatment plan that extended my Pugsley’s life 2 years past the date of his cancer diagnosis. Long after all the other Dr’s gave him only 6 months to live even with chemotherapy, that would have poisoned his little body and made him and me) miserable for his remaining time.

I am happy to say that instead of that outcome my boy lived out his golden years with me as a very happy and carefree, and even more spoiled pug than ever. It was the best 2 years we ever spent together, and I am confident the natural treatment plan I opted for had a lot to do with it.

I love our new Pet category! Keep up the great work Hanna’s!

I use a natural dog food (dry and canned together) for my mini poodle 8yrs old with moles all over his body and my yellow lab, 5 yrs old, with fatty lympomos all over his body. I am wondering if this dog food would help either of these challenges? Also the mini poodle has had constipation all his life no matter what food i have given him. He eats primarily canned food as he has a few missing teeth.

Any ideas? i didnt understand how to order from CA, US.
